Love your Burial Week - Grounds Team
Tues 24th June - Volunteer session 10-12
Public welcome (note to have gloves and sturdy footwear)
To run in a similar way as Grounds work experience day
Comms will put it out this week, volunteers welcome, note times and meeting place
Councillors requested to attend - invite to see who is available
World Wellbeing Week – 23rd -29th June (check exact dates)
Positive affirmations to go out on Comms daily
What groups need work doing? Village Hall does it still need help?
Railway Volunteers?
Cllr Saunders has spoken to Peter Hewes regarding railway volunteers. Jane Dennett from the Village Hall recently asked for volunteers to help tidy the hall garden/car park. We could collate potential volunteer requests and post then out on comms.
Councillors to visit Westcroft Green Space and visit meet and greet share ideas Friday 27th possibly morning. Set a date and time and let the Parishioners know we will be down there informally if anyone wants to come down and chat and share ideas. Check which councillors can attend.
**Clerk note: This is under Westcroft Green TFG ToR as a project rather than events. There is also a consultant been commissioned to undertake public consultation.**
Check on who is sorting out the Open Sports Session on Saturday 28th. Need to check with the sports teams if this is something they would be interested in – start off with the outdoor sports first, then see if the inside groups would be willing to participate. Could also see if the sports hub wish to be open to make a day of it. If council are going to support this, can the room hire fees be waived/reduced as this would be us promoting world wellbeing week – the groups would be opening as taster sessions that anyone could attend (would the groups charge for participation?)
Ask the various groups/organisations in the village if they need any volunteering done.

Recommendations to Planning and Development Committee 06-25:
1. To get positive mental health and wellbeing flyers to advertise on comms (could see what the doctors/pharmacy have as well as looking online). (Cllrs could get flyers to save admin time) and agree timeline
2. To contact groups to see if they will put a volunteer flyer or post out - send to comms for advertising (Cllrs could do this to save admin time) and agree timeline
3. Agree a day and time for an informal get-together at WestCroft green space. Suggestion for Friday 27th am.
**Clerk Note: Not recommended for agreement, as this falls under Westcroft Green TFG Terms of Reference as a project rather than an event and will be actioned by that group**.
4. Contact sports/fitness groups about Open Sports Event - who?
**Clerk Note: Admin has contacted sports groups who use the SPRG 13/06/25
5.Check the calendar/Charity re using the field and any potential cost.
**Clerk Note: Admin has contacted SPRGC and field is available on the day free of charge.**
6. Recommend council support this event (Sat 28 June?) by not charging for room hire for those running sessions as part of the event.
7. Could Sports Hub hire fee be waivered/reduced if profits go towards MUGA?
**Clerk note: Council position of Sports Hub matters to be agreed in July**
