October 2020 Minutes

Minutes of the MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) Working Group Meeting held on 

Tuesday 20th October 2020 at 7.00pm

Under the Local Authorities (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority Meeting) (England) Regulations 2020, this meeting was held by video conference.

 

Present: Craig Bridge, Alina Hackney, Ben James, Adam Thurston, Vicki Wentworth, Cllr (County and District) Jackie Brockway, Cllr Cavill, and Cllr Stafford

Absent: Cllrs Broxholme, Harrison and J Willox  

In Attendance: Lydia Smithson, Assistant Parish Clerk

None.

 

Meeting

 

20/010 To receive apologies and accept valid reasons for absence, these having been submitted to the Clerk prior to the meeting

Apologies for absence had been received from Cllrs J Willox and Broxholme and these were accepted.

 

20/011 To receive Declarations of Interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011

None received.

 

20/012 To approve the notes of the meeting of Tuesday 22nd September as minutes 

It was proposed by Cllr Cavill and resolved to approve the notes of the previous meeting.

 

20/013 To review, update and agree the initial Project Plan 

The project plan was reviewed, and it was proposed by Cllr Cavill and resolved to approve the initial plan.

 

20/014 To review and agree the Vision and Project Brief

The vision and project brief were reviewed, and it was proposed by Cllr Brockway and resolved to approve the documents.

Adam Thurston left the meeting.

 

20/015 To review and agree the Consultation Plan  

A verbal update was given on the draft Consultation Plan. Further suggestions were made including consulting with older residents and disability teams, which will be incorporated into the Plan.

It was noted that questions on the sports able to be played and the size of pitch needed to be included.

It was agreed that the draft survey would be considered at the next meeting along with reviewing the draft Consultation Plan and initial draft funding bids. 

 

20/016 To agree to set-up a Whats App group for Working Group members to share ideas

It was proposed by Craig Bridge and resolved to set-up a group and ask Working Group members for permission to include them within the group. The Assistant Clerk will contact Working Group Members not present and action.    

 

The meeting closed at 8:07pm.
