Personnel Committee Meeting Minutes

Wednesday 20th January 2021 at 6.30pm

 

Under the Local Authorities (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority Meeting) (England) Regulations 2020, this meeting was held by video conference.

 

Members Present:

Cllrs Bell (Committee Chairman), Hewes, Ives and Hughes 

 

Non-Committee Members Present:

None

 

Absent:

Cllr Spurr

 

In Attendance:

Elaine Atkin, Parish Clerk 

There were no members of the public in attendance.

 

Public Questions

There were none.

 

Personnel Committee Meeting 

009/21 To receive apologies and accept valid reasons for absence, these having been submitted to the Clerk prior to the meeting

No apologies had been received.

 

010/21 To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011

There were none.

 

011/21 To approve the notes of the Finance Committee meeting held on 6th January 2021 and the Chairman to sign them as the agreed meetings

It was noted the minutes referred to Finance Committee, instead of Personnel. Cllr Ives proposed the draft minutes with this correction, and these were resolved

 

012/21 Closed Session – Council to resolve to go into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) act 1960 for the following items, on the grounds that publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.

It was proposed by Cllr Ives and resolved to go into closed session. 

 

013/21 To note a staffing matter update and make recommendations to Full Council

Cllr Hughes shared the recommendations. Cllr Ives proposed that these were accepted, and this was resolved. The recommendations to be ratified at next Full Council, but to be progressed immediately.

 

The meeting closed at 7:01pm.
