Minutes

Wednesday 6 July 2022 at 7.00pm at St Andrews Community Centre, Saxilby.

Cllrs Crump and Spurr

There were no members of the public in attendance.


Public Questions

There were none.


Committee Meeting

020/22 To receive apologies and accept valid reasons for absence, these having been submitted to the clerk prior to the meeting
Apologies and valid reasons for absence had been received from Cllrs Crump and Spurr, and these were resolved.


021/22 To receive Declarations of Interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011
There were none.


022/22 To approve the notes of the Personnel Committee meeting held on 1 June 2022, and the chairman to sign them as the agreed minutes
Cllr Cotton proposed the notes meeting as minutes and this was resolved.


023/22 CLOSED SESSION – Council to resolve to go into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960 for the following item(s) on the grounds that publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.
It was proposed by Cllr Harper and resolved to move into closed session.


The acting clerk proposed an interest and left the room at 7.06pm.


024/22 To make a recommendation to Full Council regarding the recruitment of the Proper Officer/Responsible Financial Officer (clerk) 

Cllr Mann proposed, and it was resolved to make the following recommendations to Full Council in-line with the background paper:
1. To make an offer to the preferred candidate for the full-time position 
2. To recommend a salary grade based on the March 2022 independent job evaluation
3. Share the final draft contract (based on the national model contract) with the council’s independent HR consultant for review prior to issuing

The acting clerk returned to the room at 7.20pm.
