PS23/030 (1) Elect a chair of the committee.
RESOLVED: Cllr Roberts proposed Cllr Spurr. Cllr Hewes seconded. It was resolved.
PS23/031 (2) Elect a vice-chair of the committee.
RESOLVED: Cllr Roberts proposed Cllr Waller. Cllr Spurr seconded. It was resolved.
PS23/032 (3) Receive apologies and accept valid reasons for absence, these having been submitted to the clerk prior to the meeting.
Apologies were received from Cllr Crump.
PS23/033 (4) Receive Declarations of Interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011
Assistant Clerk declared a pecuniary interest in item 8 (Ref PS23/037) and 11 (Ref PS23/040)
PS23/034 (5) Approve the notes of the Personnel Committee meeting held on 29 March 2023 and the chairman to sign them as the agreed minutes.
RESOLVED: Cllr Spurr proposed the notes of the meetings as minutes. This was resolved.
PS23/035 (6) Note the action log.
Deferred.
PS23/036 (7) CLOSED SESSION – Council to resolve to go into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960 for the following item(s) on the grounds that publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.
RESOLVED. It was proposed by Cllr Spurr, seconded by Cllr Roberts, and resolved to move into closed session.
PS23/037 (8) Note the agreed national pay offer and recommend to full council the sign off, of contractual staff payments (Financial Regulation 7c and Personnel Committee ToR 4.10)
Noted.
PS23/038 (9) Make a recommendation to full council regarding a staffing contractual matter.
Deferred for further information.

Cllr Waller proposed item one. This was seconded by Cllr Hewes and it was resolved.
