Extra Ordinary Full Council Meeting Minutes
Wednesday 16th September 2020 at 7.00pm


Under the Local Authorities (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority Meeting) (England) Regulations 2020, this meeting was held by video conference.

Members Present:
Cllrs Bell, Cavill, Crump, Hewes, Hillman, Ives, Stafford (Chairman), I Willox and J Willox 


Absent:
Cllrs Ashton Derry, Broxholme, Cotton, Hughes, Spurr


In Attendance:
Elaine Atkin, Parish Clerk and Lydia Smithson, Assistant Clerk
There was 1 member of the public in attendance.


Public Questions (7:00pm)

The member of public discussed a suggestion for a children’s cycle track on Parish Council land, similar to the one at Skellingthorpe. There is public support for this on Facebook. The Chairman agreed to have a separate conversation with the resident and that this would be put on the agenda for October’s Full Council meeting for consideration.
A Councillor noted a recent High Court judgement regarding insurance cover for loss of income due to Covid, and the Clerk was asked to chase our insurance broker. 
Ongoing traffic/parking issues at the Sunflower Nursery/Church were noted. This will be raised at an upcoming meeting with Cllr Jackie Brockway, to discuss Highways issues.

153/20 To receive apologies and accept valid reasons for absence, these having been submitted to the Clerk prior to the meeting
Apologies and a valid reason for absence had been received from Cllrs Ashton Derry, Cotton and Hughes and these were accepted.


154/20To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011
None given.


155/20 Closed Session – Council to resolve to go into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) act 1960 for the following 1 item, on the grounds that publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.
It was proposed by Cllr Crump and resolved to go into closed session. 


156/20 To consider and approve the local council’s insurance renewal
It was proposed by Cllr Hughes and resolved to renew the insurance with Hiscox for one year, as per the report.
It was proposed by Cllr Crump and resolved to implement the monitored fire alarm solution as required by the insurer.
