Following discussions with West Lindsey District Council around the upcoming removal and refurbishment of the footbridge over the canal, it has been agreed to reschedule this year’s Festival.
This decision has not been taken lightly but it has been made clear to the parish council that the footbridge is highly unlikely to be back in place for the originally scheduled festival date.
Without the footbridge, which is central to the festival, boat trips, kayaking and fishing could not take place during the festival and the picnic area could not be used for entertainment such as live music acts.
We would like to thank this year’s festival sponsors: Cliff Bradley and Sons Funeral Directors, Screwfix, Lindums, Calcul8 LTD, Steve Gaunt Trailer Hire and Sales and TFM Country Store and Hire for all agreeing to roll their sponsorship over to the festival’s new date.
Following this date change, stall holder bookings will go live in May and we thank all interested stall holders for their patience while this new date has been put into place.
Rest assured that the Festival Organising Committee will use the extra 12 weeks to make this year’s festival bigger and better than ever.
Any questions about the upcoming removal and refurbishment of the Footbridge should be directed to West Lindsey District Council.
