EM25/10 6. Note the 2026 calendar.
Noted.
 
EM25/10 7. Look at holding regular monthly coffee mornings, to include potential cake sales, tombola, or raffles. Link with SIGNS/Welcome hub, if they are willing.
Discussed the capacity of holding monthly events and decided that four during the year will be enough to be going on with – the three already listed and one in July to promote the new Saxilby Wildlife Support Group.

Recommendations to Committee
 
 
EM25/10 11. Recommend hosting an Open Sports Day next year. Date to be confirmed.
Having been proposed by Cllr Bowden and seconded by Cllr Shepherd, it was RESOLVED to propose holding a Sports Day in 2026 – Date to be confirmed.
 
EM25/10 12. Recommend in principle to hold a monthly coffee morning next year, to raise funds for National/Local groups/organisations. 
Having been proposed by Cllr Bowden and seconded by Cllr Saunders, it was RESOLVED to propose holding four coffee mornings during 2026, as listed on the calendar.
 
EM25/010 13. Recommend that all (willing) Councillors on the Events WG to undertake a First Aid course and to have DBS checks, to better assist with future events.
Having been proposed by Cllr Saunders and Cllr Bowden, it was RESOLVED to get all willing Events WG Councillors to be First Aid trained and have DBS checks.
 
EM25/10 14. Recommend that council ask the Sports Hub to support the Remembrance event by opening the bar (fees to be waived as per prior agreement).
It was agreed not to progress this.
