Apportioning for the Recreation Ground

As part of the hand back of the management of the recreation ground from the council to the recreation ground charity, one of the items on the project list is to apportion costs for the running of the recreation ground (excluding the community centre, play area, and wheeled park – as these remain under council management).

The council, charity, and an independent accountancy firm agreed an apportioning model in 2023.

The 2021-22 accounts have been apportioned and agreed by the council (October Full Council 2023) and charity.

The 2022-23 accounts have been apportioned and the draft is being reviewed by Full Council in July 2024 and the charity.

The third year will be completed next.
