Parish Council Vacancies

Election

An election is to due be held on Wednesday 11 June 2025 for councillor vacancies as a result of the resignation of Salim Hadjoudj and due to the non-attendance of Vilija Spurr.

Vacancies are filled by co-option, unless a request for an election to fill a vacancy has been made in writing to the Returning Officer by ten electors for the parish.

The estimated cost to the council of an election is £5,000 without poll cards, or £9,000 with poll cards (Source: WLDC). The council has £7,200 ring-fenced funds to cover the costs of elections (as of May 2025).
