Westcroft Green Space Development Consultation

Westcroft Green Consultation Update

The community consultation on the future of Westcroft Green Space has now closed, and we would like to thank everyone who took the time to share their views.

Over 360 residents took part in the survey and engagement activities, helping to build a clear picture of how the space is currently used and what improvements matter most to the community.

What We Heard

The consultation showed strong support for improving Westcroft Green Space, with some clear priorities emerging:

  • Increased use of the space is likely if improvements are made
  • Strong support for natural play areas, sensory spaces, and seating
  • A clear desire to keep the space green, wildlife-friendly, and accessible
  • Interest from residents in volunteering and supporting the space

What Happens Next

The parish council will now use the findings to begin developing design options for the space. These will focus on:

  • A zoned layout to balance play, quiet areas, and dog use
  • Natural, low-impact features that protect the green space
  • Inclusive and accessible facilities for all ages

There will be a further opportunity for residents to have their say in the next phase, where proposed designs will be shared for feedback.
