Saxilby with Ingleby Neighbourhood Development Plan
NDP Review
The NDP is in the process of being reviewed, with a Steering (Working Group) - made up of residents and councillors, working with a planner - leading the project.
The review began in 2023 and is expected to be completed by mid-2025. Funding for this process has been from Locality Grant.
Current Status
The Saxilby with Ingleby Neighbourhood Plan Review (draft) has now been submitted to West Lindsey District Council (WLDC) under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
A Regulation 16 public consultation has since been completed, allowing residents and statutory bodies to comment on the plan.
The next step is the appointment of an independent examiner, a legal requirement before the plan can proceed to a local referendum. West Lindsey District Council, in consultation with the Parish Council and Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group, is leading this process.
An evalutation panel, including District Council officers and Parish Council/Steering Group representatives, will assess candidates and recommend an examiner for appointment on Tuesday 4 November 2025.
Further updates will be shared as the Neighbourhood Plan Review moves towards examination and referendum stages.

NDP (2017)
Saxilby with Ingleby Parish Council was selected as a neighbourhood planning front runner by the government to create a neighbourhood plan, supported by the local planning authority, West Lindsey District Council. A grant was received from the (then) Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) to fund the process. The plan was formally adopted by West Lindsey District Council at a Full Council Committee meeting on the 8 May 2017.
Within the plan are community identified projects. Since the plan has been made the council has been working with residents to progress the projects in a phased way. Progress to date includes a new play area on the memorial field and a new wheeled park. The Multi-Use Games Area project is progressing and Bridge Street Working Group has made excellent progress in the conservation area on Saxilby Waterfront.
